Απίστευτες φωτογραφίες του ήλιου από ερασιτέχνη φωτογράφο

Ο φωτογράφος Άντριου ΜακΚάρθι είναι ένας ερασιτέχνης φωτογράφος που προσπαθεί να απαθανατίσει το σύμπαν... από την αυλή του. Με σύντροφό του το τηλεσκόπιο Solar Max III, με ειδικά αντι-ηλιακά φίλτρα, έστρεψε την προσοχή του τις τελευταίες μέρες στον ήλιο, και οι φωτογραφίες που έβγαλε κόβουν την ανάσα.

Επίσης, ο φωτογράφος επισημαίνει πως το τηλεσκόπιό του είναι ειδικά φτιαγμένο για αυτή την δουλειά, και πως είναι πολύ κακή ιδέα να στρέψουμε ένα κανονικό τηλεσκόπιο στον ήλιο.

Swipe to see the largest solar feature I've ever seen, then swipe again to see it rain Earth-sized globs of matter on the solar surface. Our solar activity is picking up! As this shot from yesterday shows, there are some beautiful formations on our nearby star, and this Jupiter-Sized prominence is a gorgeous example of the spectacles to come. Swipe to see a surprise 🤓 This morning I was graced with a rare conjunction- the @iss not only transited the sun, but it also passed right through a nice big prominence as it exited the limb (visible in the videos). Our sun got a little dressed up for you today! In addition to having multiple large prominences, this photo is a blend of shots taken with slightly different tuning, to show more details and contrast. As a result, I ended up with a much more colorful image than usual. It's a bit different than my past solar shots, so I hope you enjoy. Sunspots, prominences, and... aliens? (Swipe to see) While imaging the sun earlier a group of unidentified flying objects sailed right over the sunspot. I'm sure they were just some high altitude birds... but what if?

Swipe to see "The Stellar Dance" Sometimes magnetic fields win the battle against gravity, and pull massive amounts of solar material away from the surface of the sun, caught in the ever-changing environment of the stellar atmosphere. Today's show: a series of prominences over 100,000 miles wide, arcs of plasma the Earth could fit in several times over. Don't forget- all patrons get access to the full size image of my posts! Beautiful solar activity today. That is a prominence, a chunk of solar plasma caught in a magnetic loop and defeating the sun's incredible gravity. Several earths could fit inside this loop. Captured with a dedicated solar telescope. Do not try pointing a regular scope at the sun. If you want to learn more about getting into solar astronomy, dm me.
